Every Tuesday is the 222MHz Activity Night as directed by K1WHS.
This was my first successful Activity Night as I managed to make >0 contacts!
A win! :)
I started the evening out by running FT8 from about 6P until 7P.
No takers but I really wasn’t expecting to see much this early.
Tropo conditions seemed to be light to non-existant.
All contacts were just more than 200km in distance (except for a near-line-of-sight contact with my near-neighbor Ed WA3DRC).
I tried to work Ron WZ1V (452km), Zach K1ZK (698km), and Dave K1WHS (707km) but conditions didn’t allow.
Hopefully a future activity night will be more fruitful.
On the flip side, I did chat with WA3DRC for about 40 minutes before shutting down for the evening.
Can hardly wait for next week.
